Armada Way (Mark Walden) I doubt if I´ll see you again, you see we all have plans Mine, to fly where the sun is in mind To fly away from the faces I know of Once in view but they all had to go And now he´s thinking of going home But he can´t escape the good times known Like running mornings and city strolls Look how this friendship grows In and out of coffee rooms, in and out of the cold My books are aching for a chance to say Have you seen the time, got to study today But the library rooms aren´t bigger enough for me And time it moves away from me Her eyes tonight most certainly oh so bright To her am I the poor man, I think more the clown To see her is to fall down Too many heartaches, and not enough song Armada way you make me smile Around a home news once of a lonely child But once he was there, things looked good And it was the start of a wonderful year And it´s alright, and it´s a la, la la...

Eye for and eye (Mark Walden) Why my wife? Why my son? Can´t they see Killing´s wrong So they say Now it is here to stay So much pain Hate inside A storm of rage Is blowing in Reason will fly That´s when it starts The taking of an eye for an eye I know they say we should forgive Forgive the hurt done to those we miss But how can I walk away from this? An ancient tale Repeats again To right the wrong Reclaim the debts Oh sweet revenge Look how it turns Dear memories into regrets An eye for an eye is what they seek No one turns the other cheek

Love for Olivia (Mark Walden) Love for Olivia my little girl I´m so proud of you born to this world Love for Olivia our little girl Living means everything having you in the world Are we going to laugh? Together we will Are we going to play? I´ll play more than you Will we just cry? I know that I will For my little girl Love for Olivia seeing you with life I could never have guessed what you´d be like Love for Olivia your image shines bright It lives deep inside my heart And will for all of my life You know, every single moment now feels strange and special Tell me was I before really ever alive? My future was born the day that she arrived Love for Olivia Joy to my world Living means everything to one little girl Are we going to laugh? Together we will (...) They say, every single moment now is full of worry Well I don´t know much but I think they got it all wrong Cause life with her is full of love and song Love for Olivia your journey´s begun Beside you I want to be in the life that´s to come Love for Olivia my little girl I´m so proud of you, welcome to the world

Manners maketh the man (Mark Walden) I´ll wait in silence, I´ll wait in silence If they ask for silence, then I´ll wait in silence I´ll give up my seat, I´ll give up my seat For the old and the weak, I´ll give up my seat I´m holding the door, I´m holding the door If you come before or after me, I´ll hold the door I will try as hard as I can Just a case of manners maketh the man They say manners maketh the man Well, we´ve got some improving to do Cause if you, take yourself to the top Tell me, how´s the view? How´s this old world treating you? I won´t push in, I won´t push in Jumping in the queue I won´t do, cause I won´t push in I´ll say thank you, I´ll say thank you For the deed that you do me, I will be thankful I will try as hard as I can (...) You´ve heard it said Take it as read We have to try as hard as we can Ringing in your head Nothing else instead Just a case of manners maketh the man

Me of all people (Mark Walden) Me of all people They think that I am going mad Me of all people Your very own Jack the lad I seem to find myself alone More and more each day There was a time when I was king People came to me adoring Faking interest, feigning love All they wanted were my favours One by one they deserted me When my fortunes crashed And how they crashed Me of all people They think that I am going mad Me of all people Your very own Jack the Lad

People hunger there (Mark Walden) I think of my childhood I never did ask Where were you? Appeal for money and it comes through It flies the water just to see them through People hunger there, people hunger there Somebody, I don´t know who Appealed for money and it came through People hunger there, people hunger there I know it I´m riding my bike I´m bouncing along Where are you? I see tears I play in the sand With my bucket and spade Where are you? I see tears Somebody, I don´t know who (...) I´m going to class I´m learning a lot Where are you? I see tears, tears, tears Tell me has anything really changed? Or is it as it was, it´s just the same? Tell me has anything really changed?

Rain (Mark Walden) Never loved her, never cared for her I just used her to cleanse my skin Never valued, never cherished She just quenched my thirst within Now I need her, how I long for her She´s not there to cleanse my skin How I grieve, how I mourn I can´t quench my thirst within Pure, cold, rain Can you hear the rain? Can you hear the rain? Sorry for you, Cause you just want to feel fine Blue sky and sun, Is what you need to make you feel alright No more sunshine just rain Welcome the grey sky and the rain Sorry for you, Cause you just want to have a good time Blue sky and sun, Is what you need to make you feel alright Pure, cold, rain

Thank you (Mark Walden) My day, was not going so well Deep sighs, the only sound to my ear They blew away the moment you appeared Did I ever say? It must have slipped my mind Today´s the right time for me to say Thank you for being a friend Thank you for caring again and again Nowadays we´ve got busier lives Through yours you don´t change You´re the standard of the song that I try to sing Thank you for being a friend Thank you for caring again and again Don´t say it was nothing at all When you called at my door Simple things are the ones that we need the most Thank you for being a friend Thank you for caring again and again Thank you I hope that this reaches you Thank you I hope that this reaches you My day turned out just great Thank you (live) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5r8FonHuCiw

The little ones (Mark Walden) Here my song for the little ones, growing everyday They copy and imitate, what the grown ups say Is it any wonder, I´m careful what they hear? All that covering up of, those tiny ears Here they come the little ones, bringing out their toys Playmates come on over, and make more noise Is it any wonder, I´ve got a neck tied in knots? All that keeping an eye on, those tiny tots Here they run the little ones, falling on the floor With so many knocks and bruises, it´s one bump more Is it any wonder, I´m immune to the sounds? All that screaming and crying, from those tiny mouths Is it any wonder, all the weight I´ve shed? All that running around after, those tiny heads Here they come again, here they come again That´s my song for the little ones, my energy they´ve sapped I´d like to sneak right off, and take a little nap Is it any wonder I never get any sleep? All those night time visits, from those tiny feet Is it any wonder I never get any sleep? Can you hear the pitter patter of those tiny feet? Here they come again, here they come again They´re coming again and again and again They´re coming again

The new building (Mark Walden) Everybody´s looking forward to living in We´ve waited so long but now we´re getting close to moving in Moving in, the new building Make it strong, make it warm, keep us from harm Make it quiet, make it kind We don´t want to see again The hate in people´s eyes Everybody´s looking forward to settling in Our weary feet won´t ache no more once we´re stepping in Stepping in, the new building You´re so wondrous, you´re so grand The greatest gift we´ve had You´re so noble, you´re so fine You are the sweetest sight we´ve known in our life time Can´t help but notice some of us have started arguing Voices are raised and there are reports of fighting in Fighting in, the new building Make us humble, make us glad, let´s value what we have Make us patient, make us respect If we go on like this nothing will be left Moving in, settling in, arguing in Fighting in, destroying, abandoning The new building

Précis (Mark Walden) It´s the end of the day down Armada Way What can I say now that it´s over? If need be, remember me in this précis Crashed in a heap the darling little ones sleep In the Land of Nod the world is good and soft Without any fear and people don´t suffer from hunger there Tall as a steeple look at me of all people I was lost in the rain until you found me again Right on cue you say you saved me and I thank you Shining brand new they built the building for you Will you treasure and care? Will you learn how to share? Do what you can, respect and manners are the making of man Love for Olivia, oh love for the world An eye for an eye can´t be the answer Strong not weak to forgive and turn the other cheek It´s the end of the day down Armada Way What can I say now that it´s over? If need be, remember me in this précis

Review / Reseña www.efeeme.com/el-disco-del-dia-mark-walden

Armada Way confirms that British Pop´s still composing great songs and giving new artists names.

The name of the street in Plymouth, Armada Way, where Mark Walden lived when he was a student, away from home for the first time, gives the title to the album, and it´s the starting point of this exciting trip. The album was recorded and mixed at Escalera Grabaciones Intrépidas in Madrid, Spain.

Amazing melodies and lyrics full of meaning in the personal voice of Mark Walden, the production of Julio García, who plays acoustic guitar and the refreshing backing vocals of Yani Martinelli and Carmen Ros, make the sound of Armada Way, a must for those who love good songs.
